Middle-aged man Ding Lianhai (played by Shi Liang) spent years working alone in the U.S., losing contact with his family. Diagnosed with cancer, he returns to his hometown in Inner Mongolia, only to find his wife deceased and his daughter Dalinuoer missing. A flamboyantly dressed young woman (played by Shen Taoran) suddenly shows up, claiming to be Dalinuoer’s former colleague and a victim of financial fraud by her.
